Our Team

Accessible Education is led by Deidre Madres, an educational consultant with over 12 years of experience in the public school system. She has worked as a school psychologist, district-level administrator, and parent support specialist, and has personally navigated the Section 504 and Special Education processes as a parent seeking support for her own child. That combination of professional and personal experience shapes everything about how Accessible Education works.

Services are grounded in advanced academic training, direct service delivery experience, and real familiarity with how schools and districts operate, from the classroom level to district-wide administration and compliance. This includes specialized knowledge in data integration, analytics, and Student Information and Learning Management Systems, meaning we understand not just what families are entitled to, but how schools and districts function from the inside.

To meet the full range of needs families and educational institutions bring to us, Accessible Education draws on a network of subject matter experts on an as-needed basis, including speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, behavior specialists, and private practice providers.

Beginning in July 2026, Maddy Marchetti will also be offering her services through Accessible Education. A special education educator with experience as both a resource teacher and a behavior support teacher, Maddy works directly with families, providing parent behavior coaching and, where appropriate, direct in-home support.

Deidre Madres, Educational Consultant

Deidre Madres is the founder and lead consultant of Accessible Education. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Specialist in School Psychology (SSP) with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorder from Texas State University.

After graduating from UT, Deidre spent several years in nonprofit administration before stepping away to raise her children, during which time she served as PTA President, PTA Treasurer, and a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Returning to the workforce, she worked as a Parent Support Specialist in local elementary schools, where she found her footing in family engagement and educational advocacy.

That work took on new meaning when she navigated the Section 504 and Special Education processes for her own child. Even with her professional background and familiarity with public schools, the experience was harder than expected. She threw herself into research, eventually secured services for her child, and decided to pursue a graduate degree in school psychology to help other families do the same.

As a graduate student, Deidre served as her campus's Student Leader for the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and co-authored two peer-reviewed articles, one of which she presented at the annual NASP conference. After graduating, she worked as a school psychologist providing psychoeducational assessments, counseling for special education students, and teacher consultations, before advancing to a district-level role supporting a large evaluation team that included school psychologists, educational diagnosticians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and behavior specialists.

Deidre founded Accessible Education in 2022 to bring together her background in nonprofit management and her experience in public education. Her most recent enterprise consulting engagement placed her with a large urban district as a Subject Matter Expert and Process Improvement Consultant, where she supported the planning and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and served as a liaison between operational staff (IT, HR, and Finance) and educational programmatic staff. Her technical expertise includes data integration, quality, governance, and analytics, particularly with Student Information and Learning Management Systems, and spans compliance and reporting requirements under TSDS, PEIMS, and the State Performance Plan (SPP).

In 2024, Deidre expanded Accessible Education's services to include direct parent and family support and advocacy, returning to the work she finds most meaningful: helping families understand their options and advocate effectively for their children.

Maddy Marchetti, Behavior Coach & Consultant

Maddy Marchetti is a special education educator with focused experience supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs at the elementary level. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from Sewanee and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood Special Education from Vanderbilt University. She has served as both a resource teacher and a behavior support teacher, managing caseloads, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing direct instruction across academic and behavioral domains

In both roles, she has coordinated and facilitated IEP/ARD meetings and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that supports are cohesive, practical, and aligned with each student's needs. Her work has placed a strong emphasis on behavior, both understanding it and translating evidence-based strategies into consistent, realistic practices.

As a behavior support teacher, she specialized in social-emotional instruction, crisis intervention, and the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans, giving her a nuanced understanding of how to respond to complex behaviors in real time while also building long-term skills.

Through Accessible Education, Maddy provides behavior coaching for families of children with disabilities, helping parents design and implement effective systems at home. This includes developing individualized tools such as visual schedules, reinforcement systems, and structured routines, as well as breaking down research-based behavioral strategies into clear, usable steps. When appropriate, she also offers direct, in-home support to help establish and model these systems alongside families. Her approach is grounded in both professional training and hands-on experience, with a focus on making strategies practical, sustainable, and responsive to the realities families navigate every day.
